Tony grew up with musical influences from a very young age. Starting at the tender age of four years, and with the Salvation Army, he played the Cornet, then moved on to the Soprano Cornet, followed by Tenor Horn. He also graded in Singing and Piano.
Continuing his musical journey through to adulthood, Tony went on to perform on many stages around the world, including the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and New York’s Carnegie Hall among others. Whilst living in Australia for five years he sang in one of the most prestigious Salvation Army Choirs in the country and had the experience of conducting a choir of some 280 singers of all abilities.
Back in the UK, he had a dream of starting a new community choir, and in Christmas 2009 it became a reality and City Chorus was born.
