Philippa Butcher

I studied and qualified at the Royal College of Music in London.  Since then, I have dedicated my working life to teaching classroom music to A Level, teaching the flute and piano to Diploma level, and conducting choirs, orchestras,  and wind bands in this country and Europe.  I have also directed many musicals.

I recently retired from the music profession, and in January joined City Chorus to experience singing on the other side of the fence!  It’s great and I thoroughly enjoy it.  I didn’t expect to become assistant pianist, but am flattered and will help out when needed.  It’s good to be involved again.”
